Gibson
Stacey Gibson is a parent and educator who has been teaching English for 15 years in the Chicago-land area and works to help students and adults understand how oppression is covertly managed and normalized. Most recently, her work on the issue of the oppressor’s gaze, internalized oppression, and the process of truncating racial discourse in educational institutions serves as a platform for her presentations, lectures, workshops and seminars. Ms. Gibson has trained and taught students and educators and has continued to work with non profits, educational institutions, and groups of individuals who have a vested interest in moving beyond ‘diversity’ conversations to explore what is vital when establishing anti-racist, anti-oppressive learning and work environments.
